According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs on September 5th, they are focusing on fostering export-specialized organizations and supporting the construction of domestic and overseas low-temperature distribution systems to enhance the quality competitiveness of agricultural products.

Based on this, they are promoting various new projects, including support for the Smart Farm Consortium and export support for pet-related industries.

They have newly reflected a budget of 1.9 billion won for the globalization of the pet-related industry’s overseas export industry, such as overseas pet market research, the pet-related industry export fair (K-Pet Care Industry Fair), and research and development of export products.

With the complete revision of the ‘Animal Protection Act’ 12 years ago, it became mandatory to establish a comprehensive animal welfare plan every five years, and the 2020-2024 comprehensive animal welfare plan will reach its final year next year.
